The mention concerned by SD is Bh which now is made of 4 classes: 0 up to 1.2 bars, I up to 3 bars, II up to 5 bars, III beyond 5 bars). A serie of application texts are under writing [March 2013]

ESD/AESD issuing authority respectively authority providing national equivalence list to ESD/AESD: Not directly nowadays, but present French regulation corresponds to a minimum of the AESD standard. Both ESD and AESD will be taken into account in the new regulation.
Level of acceptance of scientific diving licences (i.e. ESD/AESD certificates) of other European countries: Equivalent to ESD, but a special demand, through the ministery of culture, is needed. This will not be necessary any more with the new application texts. The European standards will be reciprocally recognized.
Additional remarks: The new decree gives more liberty and responsabilities to the research organisms which will write the new rules taking more directly into account the foreign countries.
